Name: Jaya Jaya Myra
Occupation: Author. Lifestyle Coach. Non-Profit Founder. Head of Marketing.
What do you do: I help people with natural health, relationships and spirituality by teaching them how to understand their unique energy type in terms of elemental composition. By understanding this, the types of spiritual practices, mantras, exercise, dietary needs and even relationship compatibility become apparent. People can fine tune their lives to overcome difficulties, while becoming more healthy and successful.
How did I get into my profession? I’ve always loved to write and help others. I was asked by my publisher to write them a book, after they read a magazine article I had written, and that set things in motion for further writing. I founded my 501c3 non-profit (Gita for the Masses) because I saw a need for teaching spirituality in a way that helps people to engage powerfully in their day to day lives, without feeling the need to disconnect from society or the world at large. Too many spiritual people disengage from the difficult aspects of life in the guise of calling themselves spiritual, instead of conquering challenges head on. Hence, Gita for the Masses was born.
What does a Day in the life look like for you? Affirmation, visualization, mantra, hitting the gym, then working either on one of my many projects or working with clients on theirs. At the end of the day, I like to take time to contemplate about the day, my future and reaffirm my goals. I’m also an avid student of Carnatic vocal, so you’ll probably find me practicing wither early morning or at the end of my day, pending on the schedule of the day. Meditation nightly before bed, and more mantra japa. When I’m not tuned into my own projects or helping others with theirs, I enjoy going for walks, singing or dancing. I’m a huge advocate for the arts, since they build character!
What is the inspiration behind your work? God and Love. But those two things are one and the same.
What is your mission? To help people live conscious, successful and healthy lives, so that everyone can live their life’s purpose. I believe I came here to make a difference in peoples lives, and that motivates me every single day to get up and keep pursuing that goal.
How do you ground yourself? Different ways. Sometimes through visualizations or use of aromatherapy, but overall by making sure I east a balanced diet and keep active.
What’s your life’s motto? What you worship, you become!
Do you have a mantra? Yes, from my Guru, and it is not to be shared.
What inspires you? Knowing that I’ve made a big difference in peoples lives. There’s nothing in the world that feels better than knowing I can bring hope and inspiration to others.
What is the best advice you’ve ever been given? To only spend time around people who see the light in me. To never associate with people who don’t believe in me. Best advice ever.
